Is Kyoto a Theme Park?
Kyoto weirdly feels like a theme park in a lot of ways. It doesn't feel like an authentic Japanese experience, even though it's the most authentic thing you can do. I've enjoyed just going to some other temples in Japan where it's a bit more isolated than this. And Kyoto prices are nuts. The ryokans and hotels in Kyoto are so expensive. That whole area though, like Nada and Osaka as well, is like, they all are priceless.
