The Economic Impact of the Internet and the Washing Machine
I mean, how many people can do their job without a computer? No, no, that's true. It hasn't yet reached a stage where a whole class of workers are just eliminating. But soon we'll have that kind of artificial intelligence doing the works of lawyers and counters and maybe even our university professors - but not yet. I know it's probably an impossible task, but has anyone done some grand study to try and put it in your hands? Yeah, I think it will be a fascinating balance sheet to draw up,. Because yeah, yeah, okay, no... The internet has been around for only say three decades; other household machines have been around for a century.
