David W. Ferguson was born in Scotland and graduated with honors in law from the University of Edinburgh. He came to China in 2006 and moved to Beijing in 2008, has written several original books on contemporary China for the foreign language press. The most recent of these is China's rural revitalization, the Gansu experience which we have with us.
