What Is the Meaning of Cave Art?
Some scholars have theorized that cave art could be used as a model of the local hunting grounds. This was the longest lived artistic tradition in human history. Its heyday lasted longer than ehave been intentionally growing crops to day. Some 400 decorated sites remain in europe alone, along with thousands more pieces of portable art. Altogether this constitutes an incredible record of artistic achievement.
