At the time, Riddoff was in Venezuela working for different clients doing interior and more related to hospitality environments. He received an email from Cotsioli saying he had won a German Design Award with a special mention; where do you want him to go? "I felt that I was scaping Caracas," he says of his first trip to New York. The next few months were spent traveling between Europe and Latin America trying to find work there.
