Understanding Complexity in the Universe
The term fractal was first coined by binaud Mandel to describe geometrical structures with features of all length scales. Nature abounds in such fractal or self-similar objects nature thus abounds in complex structures but defining and measuring complexity is not a trivial problem. We present a whole class of phenomena involving the transition from order to disorder where the point of maximal complexity is sharply defined this is where complexity lives. The fact that we fundamentally have to pursue knowledge by navigating opposed states reflects the fact that that's actually how the universe itself is constructed, says David Wheeler.
