Demethyl Tryptamine: A Hallucinogen

Hazel: One of my favorite cuts is one called Demethyl Tryptamine. It's a drug that can cause psychosis in some people and the song, like much of the album, kind of feels like psychosis, right? And it also creates this idea that you're not just in fat voice, Sharif's universe but a universe that is inhabited because there are all these other voices that drift in and out of consciousness. He name checks NPR and Tiny Disks later on the album on the song, Green-winged shoulder padding.
