What Are the Profit Headwinds Emerging for the Big Banks?
There's no real systemic risk here. And when the stocks sell off like they did yesterday, it is a buying opportunity for the long-term investor. We expect net interest margin for the industry to probably peak in the first quarter or second quarter of this year. But there will be that pressure or headwind on the margin, but we have to remember banks can still expand their balance sheets through loan growth.
