The Contempt for Mexicans
Lionel Cardin is considered an anti-American for what that's worth. He doesn't trust the Americans. So there's also a lot of contempt for Mexicans. The Germans are also very racially contemptuous. There are practically no purely white Mexicans aside from some naturalized Germans and declining numbers of other Europeans.
