Is C-Span Cameras in the House Bad?
I think most committee hearings shouldn't be televised because you can't throw any of your stakeholders under the bus in real time. And I do think that this trend is not healthy in that sense and that it causes the parties to institutionally buy into positions that they may know are wrong, but it just makes them more difficult to get off of wrong. The idea here that we're going to restore solvency to these things to me seems like the least likely option.
