My dad had a difficult childhood. His mum, my grand, was a single mum with five kids. Her husband died in his late twenties and she brought those kids up alone. My dad trained first as a gunsmith and then as an engineer. And it was hard work, but he really wanted something better than the way he'd been brought up. But I feel I let him down. I failed to take over his life's work,. all his energy, his endless, endless hours of work building up that company. And I didn't want any part of it. It seems very much he has the bigger portion of blame there.
