The CCRU is a group of scientists at the University of California, San Diego. They are studying what they call "time spiral" The idea that time itself cannot be just like its own thing and comes out of something wider grander. And so this reconseives all of history as being pulled into the spiral - you know, being rushed towards this future I have no idea if that made any sense at all.
