How Attachment Gets Passed Down Generationally
I was listening to a patient just the other day who was talking about this anxiety that they carry and for as long as they can remember. And then they started to describe what happened to their grandparent where they had a grand parent whose parent, one of their parents when that grandparent was six, was killed in a train accident. And so this story, these stories, they get held in us. This whole notion of how attachment then generationally gets passed down, whether we end up being secure or insecure forms of it,. How we become outposts of wisdom as far as our attachment is concerned based on the degree to which our secure or insecure form are coming forward.
