The Temple Complex of Chavin Dewantar, Peru
The priesthood of jabindawandar was regarded as the power of the region, with no real evidence of a monarchy. The fact that there have been no military defences or weapons discovered in the area may have been the reason why the necessity for powerful monarchs was unnecessary. It seems as if there was no threat of war among the societies within the cultural region. Those individuals who didn't reside in and around the temple complex would have been the people that tended the land on the fringes of the site. And so therefore we do have some form of class bay society.
