The Evolution of the Socialized Mind
I think it's very useful for understanding tensions in society at large, but not necessarily in the way that Ken does it. I think you can make a claim that this gradual move from the socialized mind to the self authoring mind is also enacting itself at global levels as well. As those trends become more and more influential across the world, they become even more threatening to people who are more firmly embedded in thesocialized mind. And so these same emancipatory processes are enabling other people to come into a fuller, fuller realization of their voices. They may feel like they have to strike out even at the risk of blowing themselves up in terrorist activities.
