Endometrial Thickness on Ultrasound in a Post-Menopausal Patient?

In a pre-menopausal patient, it's totally normal for the lining to be a different measurement throughout the menstrual cycle. The day that the ultrasound is done, the thickness of the stripe could be predictive of how much bleeding has happened. When we see polyps, we do recommend removing them because they can have a very small risk of hyperplasia,. And so that would be a reason for surgical removal.
