The Atonement Throne
If you remember the lid, we talked about this when we studied the ark. The lid is called the throne of atonement. It's also known as the mercy seat. And so to picture the Lord himself sitting there, this becomes his throne. He's not only inside it, he's on top of it. But if he did, I have a feeling he would ask us, what would you like to place inside?
