When i was 20, our british society was full of polish emigres. And they were like the afghans who have come. Now i think we need to be thinking long term about the investment we make as the west into all these and there will be p still people coming out. I fully agree with the idea of afghan sovereignty, the idea that afghans should lead a the future of afghanistan. But i think wee need to be far less sort of, let's breathe a sigh of relief, they're all out of hotels and theyr nowin in crappy social accommodation. What can we do to invest in a future?
