Creating an AGI System?

The problem is that it's very hard to train, and the objectives on getting there are very unclear. I was kind of thinking about what it would look like if you were to give a calculator to GPT, for example, and then GPT has to sort of use this external interface through some API. It can sort of emit input to this block module and get a output out of it and use it somehow in its objective. The question is barking up like a very interesting tree.
