How to Navigate the Iteration Phase of Jam

The first version of jam was JavaScript you could embed in your staging environment that would turn it into a collaborative surface like a Google Doc where you could leave comments. And what we found is that product managers and designers were so excited to use it but engineers were hesitant to add new JavaScript to their staging environment. So instead of spending time on getting user feedback and developing product we're spending a lot of time on sort of compliance, which felt more enterprise than what made sense for this business model and product. We realized the current iteration had to connect to the dev tools of the web application and that became the current flavor of jam.
