A list is a form that mediates and helps us to explore and grapple with the finitude of experience this tension between etc and everything included. Umberto Eco was talking about the connection between lists and death wasn't he? The stakes can become quite high when we start thinking about lists of people and the logics by which those lists are drawn together. Some of them are distinctly less desirable lists to be on. We may not have completed the full register or tally or index or indeed catalogue of possible lists but I think we've added some pretty solid items to the agenda it just remains for me to thank our guests in no particular order if such a thing is possible Liam Young Joanna Nolan
