The history from below is the Annal school in France. It was about saying that your economic conditions didn't have a lot to say about how you think, right? And what you were capable of doing by the constraints of your class and so on. The French developed this so-called Anal School and a journal for this kind of history from below. This turned into social and economic history a lot. So who does Dr Mason feel is most convincing as a bloke in methodological?
