Transformers are helping people do the text prediction of the sort that we see in chat GPT. There's also another kind called diffusion models, which are a bit different but both are working quite well. And they just continue to roll out across all sorts of different modalities. Some of the ones that I think are most kind of interesting and scary are in biology.
