Ridley Scott's new book is about the idea that we should all want to be in control of our time, and how that pertains to community and other people a bit. The author says he thinks it's worth thinking of time as something that gets its value not just from how much of it you have, but from how well it is co-ordinated with others' He also argues that there is an antithesis between getting this kind of personal freedom and synchrony with other people on some level.
