Transitions clinics when they work well recognize that it's important to not leave a family in limbo which includes the parents or the carers. We often have a precipice between cams child and adolescent mental health services and adults mental health services because we have different thresholds for care. I've always had a fantasy that you know if you've got diabetes you’ve got diabetes and no adult diabetologist is going to say well we're not taking on this child because we don't believe in their diabetes, she says.
