The group went into the studio and recorded the song, titled What You're Gonna Do About It. That version was deemed too raucous, and they had to go back into the studio to cut a new version. The people he hired were Brian Potter who would later go on to co-write Rine Stone Cowboy; Ian Samwell wrote many of Cliff Richards Drifters' early hits.
