The FCC's Report on PTL's False Statements

Baker accused the FCC of trying to trap him into misspeaking. Baker ultimately ended up blaming PTL's failure to properly fulfill its overseas commitments on former missions director Robert Manzano. The hearings adjourned and FCC commissioner Larry Bernstein submitted a report to contain evidence of false testimony, misstatements and testimony, possible perjury, and a recommendation for public hearings. When it came time to vote on conducting public hearings on PTL, the commission voted no with one commissioner changing her vote at the very last second.
