We're at a cusp moment both politically and culturally. You write about a culture that's unraveling from within and at the same time threatened from without. I get the feeling that there's a kind of a big unraveling, but I don't feel that this is necessarily doomed to be tragic. It always presents us with two paths and we have to choose. A path of great opportunity in which to sort of ask the deepest questions... or continue along the fault lines and the cracks that's opening.
