Matthew 13 opens up with Jesus going outside. He sits on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Matthew doesn't tell us exactly why he went out there. We do know from other passages that periodically Jesus often kind of seeks out solitude to be by himself, whether it's to pray or just collect himself.
