Blurred Lines: A Hit of the Summer

Robin Thick's Blurred Lines and Ferel Williams' Get Lucky held down the number one and number two spots for five weeks in the summer of 2013. The song is now infamous for being the subject of a precedent-setting lawsuit in which the estate of the late Marvin Gaye got to give it up. Happy had not only reached number one on the Hot 100, it had been nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song. When Ferel performed it on the 2014 Oscar's Telecast, he became the first person in history to have the number one song in the country as a nominee at the Academy Awards.
