The Long Term Debt Cycle and Current TD Valuation
The end of a long term debt cycle is usually accompanied by some big current TD valuation. But in the 70s, you had a different environment where basically the global monetary order for how they pay currencies deteriorated and then eventually broke. And so I separate them into two separate outcomes rather than saying that the 70s was anything like the 40s because many ways that they were quite different. The 2020s could be a period where both of those cycles kind of converge.
