Pence's Decision on Executive Privilege Marks Another Huge Victory for the Special Counsel.
It's unclear whether Pence plans to appeal Boseberg's decision. I have a theory. Jack Smith, whom Garland appointed to lead the investigation last November, issued the subpoena of Pence in February. When asked Tuesday whether he intends to appeal, the former vice president did not give a direct answer. But it seems like Jack Smith got everything he wanted to because if he's only going after Trump and he's not trying to pin anything on Pence, which I don't think he is, then and Pence has to testify about potential Trump crimes.
