How to Treat Bruegada Syndrome

The Bruegada pattern is a right bundle branch block, with ST segment elevation in V1 through V3 and negative T waves. Ketamine results in a dose-dependent sodium channel blockade and should be preferentially avoided in large doses. Post-operative considerations include monitoring for arrhythmias in the post-operative period. And then if significant life-threatening arrhythias result, following general pals algorithm for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
