The Marines

I was so lucky in my career to spend so much great time flying, but that I got to live with Jaco's guys for about six months in Ramadi on the other side. To see it up close and then hear some guys down there on the wire with the guys who had endured a night, a major night advance by the North Vietnamese a couple of days before. That was the most powerful thing I ever did in my 23 year career was use aircraft as a fact to keep soldiers, Marines and Seals alive. And when those missions were over to go back and think, man, like you said, I mean, serious business."
