The Poet Trial
The five-year outcomes for the poet trial were published in the New England Journal. The primary composite outcome had occurred in 66 patients, which was about a third of those who stepped down to oral antibiotics. And that difference, it seems like, was driven by just a lower incidence of any cause death in the group who had oral therapy. I don't think it's surprising that it continues to be effective.
