How to Control Work Item Age
The work item age is a leading indicator for your cycle times and it's also a leading indicator of your throughput how much stuff you can get done. If you just keep allowing things to age nothing's going to get done right. Don't start things unless you have the capacity to actually do it right. Another way you can control work item age by the way is by breaking things down into small bets smaller and smaller pieces. It's where it's work item aging it's Q depth. And I understand the reason why people say that is because of stupid story points but they're not true.
