Do You Need to Change Schools for Your Benefit?
In seminary, i benefited greatly from having people in my classes who were not just from the white church experience. And had that, so it helped me as a student. But do they need to change schools for your benefit? Yes, they do. I remember being an ethics class in seminary, taught by an older white man. We spent a lot of time on premerital sex, homosexuality, abortion, little bit on capital punishment. It occurred to me like everything we were talking about in the seminary ethics class was all things you were terrified your daughter would do in white suburbia.
