Teach the Basic Sounds of the Letters

Teach only basic ponics. This is important. Once they are speaking, now they they actually know what english sound like. Then you can start teaching the basic sounds of the letters. Just show flash cards and maybe do five at a time. Add five more consonants. Only later you can get into the vowels.
