The Difficulty of Having an Easter Date
The Council of Nicaea said we must fix the date of Easter. And they come up with a formula that's quite complex, and I probably won't remember it correctly. The one thing the early Christians wanted to do was to distance themselves from the Jewish calendar,. So they had to find a method of having an Easter which on the one hand would track the Passover so that Easter was happening at the right time in the year. But on the other hand, it wouldn't actually reproduce it.
