The idea of an inner child has its roots in the work of Carl Jung. Jung explained that all of our adult dysfunctions are expressed through this archetype. Some of us have a wounded inner child or an innocent inner child and abandoned or divine inner child. We're going to see some amazing differences in how we treat ourselves when we take time to really reflect on what is at our core of our identity.
This week on the show we dive into what it really means to heal your inner child. From reparenting to relearning your attachment style, the power of play and protecting your inner childlike wonder and curiosity, we discuss the psychology and everyday practices we can enact to connect and heal our inner child wounds and bring that joy and vulnerability to our adult lives.
