Caf in the South of England?

In ireland and scotland, we don't use the word 'calf' We always pronounce it cafe. But in the south of england, they sometimes pronounce cafe caf. It's like you see there in a calf, its east enders and east ender only. Only east enders say calf. Another thing i learned during research for this bodega in spanish. I was checking two words for bodega. One is cellar, c e l a r, and the other is basement,. Is that what you understand from bodega? Or do you understand something different?
