As a Berkeley undergrad, I always joke that I was a failed byproduct of the system. If you had been tasked with redesigning the entire system from the ground up based on your upbringing and what you said about not instilling more reading in kids, what would you change about the way that we educate people? The overriding theme that covers both is to restructure the system along with incentives so that people can have longer periods of time to focus.
