The Origins of Lions and Lioness in Crete
A replica of an absolutely fabulous object which Arthur Evans found at Knosos. So alongside bulls being depicted on these serving vessels we also have other types of animals depicted too in the known times. If we have lions alongside bulls for these rightons do you think there's potentially a desire by these Minoans who lived in one of these palatial complexes to show they're almost associating themselves with big animals.
