Are There Shockwaves in Space?

There are areas, there are about 7,000 locations in our galaxy, which we call the Milky Way. If a nearby star explodes, eventually the shockwave will travel through the very thin interstellar medium - one hydrogen atom every cubic metre. And then that will cause things to coalesce and start off the birth of new stars. So firstly, yes, shockwaves can spread in space, because it's not a perfect vacuum. Now, what was the second thing about spacecraft running into each other? Oh, so if I was, let's say, travelling 60 kilometres an hour and something was coming towards me at 60 kilometers an hour, what would the effects be on me pretty much?
