Getting Good at Something
A little burst of fear at the beginning of anything, when we're put on spot is a controllable burst. That can be very valuable in any creative iter's not just performing or starting a project. When you go from unconscious incompetence to conscious incompetence, ego is threatened. So that's where wou say, i think i'll do something else, or i'll play it safe. It's sort of like an ignition. An ignition in a car does not get the car moving. It gets the car started.
