The Tree Is a Transplant
The tree was pre-existing because it came from heaven. If there's one tree that's first, all the other trees by definition grow up around it. Even the first garden was a garden because the tree was there. The end of the Torah really does mirror its beginning as we're on the cusp of coming into the land.
