The Origins of Uranium

Several billion years ago we had Uranium pockets with much higher concentrations of Uranium 235. We actually had naturally occurring nuclear reactors that operated under pretty much the same principle as our present day nuclear reactors. But I think we're still getting ahead of ourselves because although we've gotten Earth's supply of Uranium from violent star interactions, deaths, collisions, we haven't yet learned how we get our supply of it.
