A Brief History of Esarhadon

Eserhadon's rage against the conspirators was overwhelming. He quickly moved to execute all their accomplices and the entire families of his brothers. Messages written on clay tablets show that he frequently sought the advice of oracles and priests, asking them whether any of his relatives or officials wished to harm him. Esahadon also set out to undo some of the damage that his warlike father had done.
