Transphobic narratives connecting trans women and incels were already present before January of this year, but they seem to have intensified since then. One example is from Holocaust revisionist Stontos, who posted a comic on Twitter depicting an incel choosing between two lines titled, Become Misogynist and Become Woman. The replies noting that trans people actually chose both lines at once are exactly what you would expect. Another example of trans-maxing is popularity is from its coverage by YouTuber Ariel Scarssella, who previously left the left because she won't apologize for being transphobic.
