What's With Us?

The priest's vestments are meant to obscure the individuality of the priest, and highlight the uniqueness of Jesus Christ. The 12 stones that the priest would carry over his heart were the 12 tribes of Israel. And so here is in Exodus, chapter 27 and 28, you have this again, where these clothes like this, not because Aaron's awesome, but because God is awesome,. Because this is for God's glory. This is for the beauty that belongs to him alone. So every time I approach the Lord in worship, I am bringing me into his presence through what he has engraved on my heart as a Catholic priest.
